Marie Osmond’s son, Michael Blosil committed suicide by jumping from The Met Apartment Building in downtown Los Angeles. The Met is a highrise built a few years ago and houses students from nearby Fashion Institute as well as USC.
Michael was a troubled youngster attending school nearby when he took his own life. His suicide note, discovered by his roommates, stated that he felt ‘friendless’.
Blosil lived with a few roommates in a large 2 bdr apart in the building. See the floor layout and interior.

I have lived here for almost two years and have been witness to many of the improvements of new management. They have assigned parking and everyone has a decal which shows your assigned space so mixups have completely subsided.
I lived at the MET for a year while I attended USC. the building was always very clean and felt safe and in what’s becoming a really cool location but this place was NOT worth the headaches.
This place is overpriced for what it has to offer. The management is made up of lazy, incompetent liars who will do anything to get all of your money.

Charlie Sheen was arrested yesterday after assaulting his wife Brooke during a domestic violence situation in Aspen, CO. The police were called to 320 W. Hallem St in the tony, ski town to deal with the situation. The home is a five bedroom, six and a half bath home with a Victorian style exterior and contemporary interior. It is also has a private guest home in the back. A lucky buyer can snag this gem for $7.4 million, according to Zillow.com
Brittany Murphy’s West Hollywood residence where she died was once owned by pop singer Britney Spears. The house was built in 1997 and sold by Spears in 2003. The home, on the 1800 block of Rising Glen, is supposedly now owned by Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, and not Brittany.
The house has 5 beds, 5 baths, and approximately 8,000 square feet. The property has a lot size of 37,679 square fee.

Murphy neighbor Clare Staple was standing in front of this Rising Glen home being interviewed about seeing Murphy worked on by paramedics before being taken away in an ambulance.
Spencer and Heidi Pratt from the reality show ‘The Hills’ live in a gorgeous rented Hollywood Hills house. It offers a great deal of privacy to the couple and cannot be seen from the main road. Their house is over 1200 sq ft (but the lot is almost 10,000 sq ft), with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, and a small lap pool in the back. The couple pay $8500 a month in rent and paid a $16,000 rental deposit.
All of the bedrooms have bathrooms attached and the house floors are hardwood. The house was built in 1960 and restored by Silver Lake architect Tony Unruh.
Shia LaBeouf’s Sherman Oaks home is high up in the Sherman Oaks hills. My favorite thing about his street was the lack of noise. I only saw one car drive down the street when I was ‘visiting’. Shia’s house is fenced in by high, thick bushes and has the sort of gate that rolls back. The day I was there I could hear weird hippy music and someone moving around the property (Shia was filming on the East Coast, so I’m assuming the resident was Shia’s hippy Vietnam Vet Papa.)

Shia paid 1.8 million for his hip Valley pad with a fantastic view in January of this year. The home is over 2400 sq ft and has 3 bedrooms and 4 baths.

Bridget Marquardt of ‘The Girls Next Door’ is hopefully enjoying life in her Sherman Oaks Tuscan home. Interestingly, the house is located right next to a highly trafficked busy street used as a shortcut by Los Angeles commuters to go from the San Fernando Valley to West Los Angeles so there is noise pretty much constantly.
The day I was there, a white van was in the driveway, probably doing some repairs for Bridget. I like the exterior of the house, but the lot is small. The home has 5 bedrooms and 5 baths. She paid 1,725,000 for the property in August 2009. In December 2008, the same property sold for 2,000,000, so Bridget got a discount.
Paula Abdul is best known as the wacky judge on the reality series American Idol. She is the owner of a Sherman Oaks mansion, which can be seen on her own reality series ‘Hey Paula’. The home is spacious and situated at the end of quiet cul de sac off a busy Sherman Oaks street (the same one that runs by Bridget Marquardt’s home!). Most people have seen the inside of the home on Paula’s reality series. It stands two stores and has a modern look. The upstairs has a balcony in the front. The front of the house has a wicker fence with ‘No Trespassing’ signs. A few years ago, an obsessed fan committed suicide in her car a few houses down from Paula’s place (maybe that is when the signs and fence went up?). Anyway, the fence is flimsy looking and seems to exist mainly for privacy sake. Paula’s street is very quiet and I only saw two people when I went by to take photos.
Paula paid 235k for the 4600 sq ft house in late 1999. The house has 5 bedrooms and 5 baths.
Alexis Bellino is a new wife featured on Real Housewives of Orange County and her husband is professional property flipper. This year he purchased two Orange County properties – a luxury home in Orange and a Laguna Beach commercial property (a mixture of shops and apartments).
The Orange home (in the Orange Park acres) features an equestrian backyard. It is the most expensive house on the street. Two other houses on the same street recently sold for about 400k. The house has nice designer touches in the bathrooms (clear glass bathroom basin in the master suite) and kitchen.

The Laguna property is a mixed use commercial and residential, 7,040 square foot building. There are 14 apartment studios, each custom designed by the owner/designer. There is a community deck and jacuzzi spa. The apartments rent for $2-2.5 k a month.
